Connect a Social Channel

Connecting a channel is what turns Parasite SEO Poster from a preview tool into a publishing one. This is a paid-plan feature - see the note at the bottom if you're still on Free.

Channels are per-domain

Social accounts are connected under a specific domain, not the workspace as a whole. An X account connected for acme.com is never available to acme-shop.com, even in the same workspace - each domain's posts only ever reach its own connected accounts.

Connect a channel

  1. Open the domain you want to connect a channel for.
  2. In the Social channels box, click the icon for the platform you want (grey = not connected, amber = connected but needs attention, green = connected).
  3. A drawer opens - click Connect next to that platform.
  4. A popup window opens and walks you through that platform's own sign-in and permission screen. Approve it there.
  5. The popup closes itself automatically and the app refreshes to show the new connection.

If your browser blocks the popup, the app falls back to a full-page redirect instead. If the popup sits open too long or gets closed mid-flow, the button just resets to "Connect" - try again.

Occasionally a platform takes a moment to finish setting the account up on its side - a Facebook Page grant is the usual one. When that happens the channel comes back amber (needs attention) rather than green, or the app tells you the account hasn't arrived yet and to try Refresh in a moment. Either way the authorization itself went through; it's the account details that are still catching up.

Managing a connected channel

From the same drawer:

  • Analytics - jump straight to that channel's performance detail.
  • Disconnect - remove the connection (admin only). The domain's cell in the connections view reverts to "not connected."
  • Refresh (top of the drawer) - re-syncs account status from the platform without a full reconnect; useful if a connection shows "needs attention."

The domain × platform overview

The workspace-wide Connections page shows every domain against every supported platform in a grid, so you can see at a glance what's connected where across your whole workspace. Click any cell to jump straight into that domain's manage drawer.

Pinterest needs one extra step

Pinterest requires a board to pin to, and the pin is only clickable back to your page when a destination link is attached - pasting a URL into the post text does nothing on Pinterest. Once you've connected a Pinterest account, an extra Pinterest board ID field appears in its row in the drawer. Enter the board you want this account to pin to and click Save - this is set once per connected account and reused for every post from it. You'll see a "Required to post" flag until a board is set; posting to Pinterest without one will fail with a clear error telling you to set it here first.

Who can connect/disconnect channels

Connecting, disconnecting, and refreshing channels is an admin-only action. Any workspace member can view what's connected.

Free plan note

The Free plan allows 0 connected accounts - it's a preview-only tier (you can atomize and see what posts would look like, but can't actually publish). Trying to connect a channel on Free opens an upgrade prompt instead of starting the connection flow. See Plans and Pricing for how many channels each paid tier supports.
