Content style
Reddit posts are written like a genuine community member, not a marketer - no marketing-speak, no exclamation-point enthusiasm. They lead with real substance from the source page's facts, are upfront that the full detail lives at the link, and put value before the link rather than the other way around. No hashtags - Reddit has no hashtag convention, and using them reads as obvious marketing. Ideal length is 150–800 characters, with a generous 40,000-character hard cap for longer, substantive posts.
Posting frequency
Reddit is tuned for a lighter cadence - once or twice a week, up to about 4 times a week at the Aggressive tier - respecting community norms around frequency.
Inbox support
Reddit has the broadest comment toolkit outside Facebook:
- Direct messages - supported (note: Reddit conversations aren't searchable through the Inbox search - only browsable).
- Comments - reply, delete, and upvote (like) are supported, including replying to a specific nested comment within a thread. Editing your own comments is uniquely supported on Reddit (not available on any other connected platform). Very long comment threads may only show Reddit's own most-recent ~100 items, which is a Reddit platform limit, not an app limit.
- Reviews - not applicable.
